Luck isn’t something that comes easily. You have to hone its energy and make it yours. Lady Luck prefers those who call upon her spirit, and these Magickal workings do just that.
Luck spells have always been extremely popular. People want to win at everything, they want to believe that they can make the right the decisions, choose the right answers, and be the chosen one, so to speak. Here’s the thing: luck is very real, but it’s a form of attraction mixed with work. There is always work to be done. Things don’t just happen by luck, but a luck spell can most definitely help to make happen whatever it is you’re working on. Luck spells are like the icing on the cake — they add that extra something to bring it all together. So indulge in these fantastic spells and I hope they bring you what you seek.
High John the Conqueror luck oil
Both thyme and High John the Conqueror have properties for bringing luck into one’s life. Carry this oil with you whenever you need extra luck, such as for a job interview or a first date.
What you need
A vial or very small jar that you can carry around with you
Extra virgin olive oil (enough to fill your vial or jar by three-quarters)
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon ground High John the Conqueror root
What to do
✵ Fill your vial or jar with the oil and add the thyme and High John the Conqueror root.
✵ Keep the vial close to you whenever it’s important that things go your way.
The same oil made only with High John the Conqueror root can also be used for anointing candles. For this I make greater quantities than for the vial, and grate whole High John the Conqueror root instead of using ground. I then leave the oil to infuse for at least one lunar cycle before using it for anointing.
Patchouli luck perfume
Bring in luck by wearing this powerful Magickal perfume.
What you need
A vial
Enough jojoba oil to fill your vial by three-quarters
7 drops patchouli essential oil
4 drops cedarwood essential oil
2 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops ylang ylang essential oil
1 drop myrrh essential oil
A citrine crystal
What to do
✵ Pour the jojoba oil into the vial and add the essential oils.
✵ Seal the vial, shake well, and leave for three days in a cool, dark place with the citrine crystal next to it to add some oomph to the blend.
✵ When the perfume is ready to use, place a couple drops on the back of your neck, behind your ears and on the back of your wrists. (Do a skin patch test first to check for any skin irritation.)
Fennel luck charm-bag
Many people like wearing or carrying a charm for luck, and this fennel luck charm-bag will not disappoint. To break a streak of bad luck, carry the charm-bag with you for seven days.
What you need
A small green or yellow bag or pouch
1 tablespoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried bergamot
1 teaspoon dried chopped ginger root
3 cloves
1 citrine or a few citrine chippings
A strand of your hair or a few of your nail clippings
What to do
✵ Put all the ingredients into the bag. It’s now ready for immediate use!
