Here is an alternate and simpler ritual to cleanse your threshold or doorstep. It doesn’t involve the extensive protection aspect of the Threshold Protection Ritual in Chapter 7, which makes it ideal to use on a regular basis.

Cleanse Your Doorstep Ritual

Vinegar is a great negativity buster, as is salt; cloves add a kick of purifying energy.

You will need:

✵ 1 cup water

✵ 1 tablespoon vinegar

✵ 1 tablespoon salt

✵ 3 whole cloves

✵ Bowl or bucket

✵ Washing cloth

1. Combine the water, vinegar, salt, and cloves in the container and leave to steep in a sunny place for at least 1 hour.

2. Dip the cloth in the liquid and wash the threshold or doorstep. As you do, visualize any negativity clinging to it dissipating. Say: I hereby cleanse this threshold of negative energy.

3. Repeat regularly and as necessary.
