Guardian angels aren’t merely vaguely religious figures somewhere ’out there’, they are dynamic inner figures here to help you with your life, although they can also manifest through other people and often appear as figures who watch over you. Angels vibrate at a higher frequency than the Earth, which is why crystals are a useful intermediary with them. The more conscious you are of your guardian angel and the more you call on this beautiful being, the more self-protection you’ll receive. Invoking an angel is particularly useful if you are walking in a dark place, if you have a difficult task to perform or if you’re meeting someone with whom there is a conflict. But, as with everything to do with psychic self-protection, it’s no use waiting until you need your angel before you try to make contact, so do it now.

There are several crystals that assist you in making contact with angelic beings. Choose one from the list or use a stone you’ve picked up that speaks of angels to you. You can also use from the insert to make contact. Simply place your finger on the angel that calls to you. You’ll often find White Flint in the shape of an angel’s wing, but you could also use a white feather to symbolize your guardian angel.

TRY THIS: MEETING THE ANGEL OF PROTECTION

✵ Spend a few moments relaxing, breathing gently and evenly and letting any tension flow out of your body through your hands and feet. Hold your angelic crystal in your hand and place it over your heart.

✵ When you’re ready, picture a shaft of light coming down in front of you and reaching into your heart. This shaft of light reaches from the high-vibration angelic realms down to the Earth plane. Ask your angel to travel down this shaft of light to meet you.

✵ When your angel arrives, feel it move to stand behind you, wrapping you in protective wings.

✵ Spend as long as you like with your angel, building up trust and enjoying the sense of protection. Ask your angel whenever you need self-protection. Affirm that this is so.

✵ Ask the angel to make a powerful connection to your crystal so that whenever you hold the crystal, your angel will be present.

✵ Thank your angel for being there and let the shaft of light recede back to the angelic realms.

✵ Before opening your eyes, check that you are enclosed in a bubble of light and that the earth star chakra beneath your feet is open, grounding you.

✵ When you are ready, bring your attention fully back into the room and open your eyes.
