When crystals are laid out in specific shapes their innate energy is channelled not only through the crystal lattice from which they are formed but also by the way the shapes themselves compel energy to move (see Tool 17, Gridding and Sacred Symbols for suggested shapes). Spirals radiate energy while squares contain it, and hexagrams or pentagrams draw positive energy into the shape and release negative energy.

You can lay stones around yourself or create a shape within a room or your house (see Creating Safe Spaces), or lay a permanent grid in your garden with rough stones that won’t weather (the colour may fade but the layout will remain effective).

TRY THIS

Lay 12 cleansed stones in a spiral, starting from the middle and moving out to the edge. Put your hand over the spiral and feel how it generates and spreads energy outwards, with the energy radiating out from the last stone.

Now form the same crystals into a square. Put your hand over the middle of the square and to one side of the square, and feel how it contains the energy, keeping it within the shape.
