Foreword to the Third Edition: Moving Forward

’In the movie Superman, the infant Kal-El is sent in a crystal capsule to Earth, with ethereal sounds and images to teach him along the way. The crystals were then stored in a crystal cave for his future use. All knowledge was imbedded in the crystals. How true this is! All the healing knowledge we humans need to access and know about has been imbedded and stored in the crystals of our own DNA. Crystals can transmit information to us, about survival, about our past and about healing. We just need to access, to listen, and be open to the possibilities.’

TO ’JUNK DNA: UNLOCKING THE HIDDEN SECRETS OF YOUR DNA’

To my great surprise, it’s been 20 years since I first wrote (what was then called) Psychic Self-Protection and seven years since I last updated it. During that period, some exciting new crystals have appeared, or become more widely available, and other finds have run out or are difficult to source. Crystals have a habit of emerging when required and then fading into the background as new, enhanced vibrational alternatives are found. In other words, crystals evolve just as we do. Also, I am on a continual learning curve, gaining new insights into how to keep energy at optimum as each year passes — and discovering how to counter the unintended consequences of ill-wishing and the like. New challenges arise as technology develops. Thankfully, Michelle Pilley of Hay House rightly intuited that I had more to say. Updating the book has given me an opportunity to introduce the most effective of the new crystal tools and techniques, whilst reminding you of the old favourites that still do sterling work. We have changed the title to ’Crystals for Energy Protection’ as it more accurately reflects what the crystals and the new tools actually offer you.

What has excited me most this time is that, in addition to updating the crystals and tools, beautiful crystal photographs are incorporated that facilitate tuning in to the unique energy frequency of each crystal. Due to the sheer number of crystals mentioned in the book, it hasn’t been possible to photograph them all, but I have selected the crystals that I find most effective or with which you may be unfamiliar. People’s individual energies differ so much these days that there are few ’one crystal will do it for everyone’ recommendations. But those that do, such as Shungite or Brandenberg Amethyst, are pictured. The crystal ’Treasure Chest’ sections have been updated to give you information on new crystals. Even if you do not have the actual crystal, the photographs have captured the energy of each crystal and you can use the photos to transfer the energy to your energy field.

I’ve also taken the opportunity to delve deeper into the effect of electromagnetic fields on sensitive people, and to explore crystal and mineral essences. I have found these to be extremely useful tools in my own day-to-day life and I’m sure you will too. New sections help you to understand your energy field, strengthen your boundaries, recognize the effects of ’blowback’ and ground yourself on the planet. I also explain how to control the flow of information and external vibrations reaching you through the new chakras that are now coming online. Exciting times!
