Not For Tourists Guide to Seattle (2016)
West & South Seattle
Fauntleroy / Arbor Heights
Map 37
Fauntleroy Way, the street from which this area gets its name, is basically the “Gateway to Vashon,” with its direct route to the ferry terminal through quaint, garden-lush, old neighborhoods bordering Lincoln Park. Arbor Heights and communities east of Fauntleroy, including White Center, reflect populations struggling to keep afloat as well as young families who can’t afford to live closer to the water or in one of Seattle’s pricier, more central neighborhoods.
