A Love Letter - Practice Responsibly

Witchery: Embrace the Witch Within - Juliet Diaz 2019

A Love Letter
Practice Responsibly

Dearest Witch

Learning about Witchcraft can be a bit overwhelming, especially when there are thousands of books and online articles on the subject and it’s hard to know which ones to trust. So I wrote this book to help you build the foundations for connecting to self, to healing, to our Magick, and to our craft.

You don’t have to follow any book, not even this book, 100 per cent — in fact you don’t have to follow any books at all. Take what you want from any lessons you learn and include the knowledge in your own practice. Just do what feels comfortable and natural to you.

I know many Witches who follow a certain path or type of craft. They identify as Green Witches, Kitchen Witches, Electric Witches, Sea Witches, and many others. But if you want to follow a different path or create one of your own, then do it, dear Witches. Mold it and shape it, explore and practice, until it feels just right for you.

For those who are just starting with Witchcraft or have been doing it without their authentic selves, success can take time. There will be days when you feel lost, stuck, and overwhelmed. Be strong and, most importantly, never stop believing in yourself and in your power. With patience and practice — a lot of practice — you’ll get better. You’ll evolve into a fully embodied, powerful Witch, breathing Magick each and every day.

To all of the Witches struggling out there — those with broken homes or hearts, and those with nowhere to turn or no one to confide in; to any Witch who has suffered and is now rising from the ashes: I love you. I care for you and I will never stop speaking up for us all. You are worthy, and you must never forget how sacred you are. Life may hit hard, but you can hit back harder. You’re stronger then you’ll ever know. Use what you have, stay safe, and remember to always keep a grateful heart.

Most importantly, I’m immensely proud of you all for diving into the depths of your inner Witch. I hope that this book has given you healing, strength, and a deeper understanding of self, and that it’s brought you closer to your truth and your craft. There is no end to the journey of your Magick — you’ll always have new things to learn and to challenge you — so remember that you’re both capable and powerful. As you continue to learn about yourself, welcome each aspect with a loving and compassionate heart. Always stay authentic, and always remember that you’re Magick.

The Witch within thanks you for embracing her.
