Witchery: Embrace the Witch Within - Juliet Diaz 2019

Continuing Your Journey
Practice Responsibly

When I was growing up I didn’t know how powerful our thoughts and words really are — not until I started to see the connections with what I said or thought and the events that followed.

From my senior year of high school I lived on my own, as the circumstances at home weren’t healthy for me, and for a while I lived in part of an abandoned monastery. I was working in the pre-school on a lower floor, and when the pre-school owner caught on to my living situation she suggested I take a room on one of the floors above. I wasn’t allowed tell anyone I was living there. There were no lights, but at least the plumbing worked.

The monastery was huge, and it was every bit as creepy as it sounds: multiple uninhabited floors with hundreds of doors; long, empty hallways; lost spirits; and a bell that rang by itself every night at about 3 or 4 a.m. But I truly felt that one day everything would turn out for the best. I had a purpose on this Earth and I was going to fulfill it. So every night I knelt on the floor and prayed to the wooden cross on a wall in my room (it hung in the only spot the Moon was able to reach, through the small window). I gave thanks for all the opportunities I was being given and for a place I could lay my head where no one could harm me, and I asserted my belief that I would continue to be blessed and guided to whatever I was meant to be.

And every day things got a little easier. I continued to align with opportunities that eventually led me to where I am now. It hasn’t been a smooth ride and I’ve been through a lot of changes, but no matter how difficult some of my experiences, they have brought me to where I want to be, both spiritually and physically. My eyes are finally open to the truth that lives within.

Why am I sharing this story with you? Because I want you to understand the power of positive thinking even at the darkest of times. Life isn’t easy, and it takes a lot of work to get where you want to be, but you have the ability and strength to get there and to manifest what you want. You have a responsibility to yourself and to the world to embrace fully who you are and to share your Magick.

The craft of Magick isn’t something you just dabble in — it’s a way of life. If you don’t like that idea then this may not be the path for you. However, my intuition tells me that all those who have chosen to read this book and dwell in its wisdom are most definitely on the right path. We’re here to shine our Magick into the universe itself, and this can only be done by those who are ready and willing to embrace the Witch within.
