Manifestation
The Craft Unveiled

Manifestation is simply the ability to attract what it is you’re asking for. It’s extremely important in Witchcraft: it’s the conjuring of desires, the ability to make things happen. Since the beginning of time Witches have called on their energy, thoughts, and beliefs, along with laws of the universe, to manifest the outcome of their spells and Magickal workings.

To make this spell work you need to be able to cleanse the space, ground, raise energy, and focus on the intent. I have specified using a pull-out candle (one that sits inside a glass jar) so it can remain lit overnight with less risk of being knocked over. This spell is very dear to me and I hope it works wonders for you.

What you need

A small handbell

A small bowl

1 teaspoon dried cornflower

1 teaspoon High John the Conqueror root powder

1 teaspoon dried goldenseal

1 teaspoon dried yellow dock

1fl oz (30ml) basil essential oil

1fl oz (30ml) patchouli essential oil

Paper and black pen

A white pull-out candle

A strand of your hair or a drop of your menstrual blood, or both — and if you’re not menstruating use three nail clippings

Citrine and clear quartz crystals

What to do

✵ First, clear and cleanse your space and yourself, then ring the bell three times to move the energy around the room.

✵ Set out your spell items and sit or stand in front of them. Now relax, close your eyes, and breathe deeply three times. Ground yourself and then raise the energy in the room.

✵ Make an anointing oil by mixing the herbs and essential oils in the bowl.

✵ With the pen, write on one side of the paper exactly what you want to manifest, right down to the tiniest detail.

✵ Now lightly spread a dash of the herb mixture over all of your words — no worries if it smears the ink; the point is to get the mixture to lightly touch all of your words.

✵ Fold the paper in half, folding the furthest edge toward you first. This will bring what you desire into your life. Set the paper aside.

✵ Take the candle out of its container, hold it in your hands, and enchant it by speaking your intention into it — you can say what you wrote or just ask it to bring you what you want. To call in what you desire, dip your finger into the herb mixture and smooth it all over the candle in a downward motion from top to bottom. Keep your desire in mind as you anoint the candle: visualize it, live it, and bring it into your presence so that those energies are soaked up by the candle.

✵ Next take the strand of your hair and wet it with your menstrual blood if you have some; this blood is extremely powerful and will help hold your essence. If you don’t have any menstrual blood, use three nail clippings instead of the hair and wet them with your saliva.

✵ Wrap your hair around the candle or, if using nail clippings, push the clippings into the top of the candle, around the wick. Put the candle back in its container and take a moment to feel the energies around you. Take a deep breath in and blow slowly onto the unlit candle to seal it with your inner Magick.

✵ Set the candle by a window so that it can soak up the Moon’s energies, and leave it until sunrise.

✵ Cleanse the surrounding space and yourself again — but don’t cleanse the candle. Ground yourself and sit for a moment while you come back to self.

✵ At sunrise the next morning, bring the candle to your altar or anywhere else you like. Take three deep breaths and with the last breath blow slowly around the candle container to seal the Moon’s energy into the candle. Place your note under the candle and arrange the crystals around it.

✵ The candle is now ready to light, and to manifest what you desire you should let it burn all the way down.
