Procrastinating Spread

365 Tarot Spreads: Revealing the Magic in Each Day - Sasha Graham 2014

Procrastinating Spread

On This Day

Psychologists distinguish between three types of procrastinators. This includes avoiders (people with strong fear of failure and success), thrill seekers (who enjoy a last-minute euphoric rush sensation), and decisional procrastinators (who can’t make decisions).

Today was the due date for Truman Capote’s manuscript Answered Prayers. The author of In Cold Blood and Breakfast at Tiffany’s would have been paid one million dollars had it been delivered today in 1968. The manuscript was never submitted, and he was quoted as saying, “I’m either going to kill it or it’s going to kill me.” Capote died in 1984.

Summation of Spread

The Two of Swords figure has blindfolded herself in an effort to move within. Will she accept the challenge at hand? Can she free herself to move outward?

Why put off till tomorrow what you can do today? Does procrastination ever paralyze you? Can you work through the fear, block, or issue holding you back? This spread will get you moving if you feel stuck on a project or activity.
