Root of the Problem Spread

On This Day

The shocking plane

crash deaths of John Kennedy Jr., his wife, and his sister-in-law in 1999 left us all questioning if a curse didn’t, in fact, linger over this family of American royalty.

Ted Kennedy accidentally drove his car off a bridge in Chappaquiddick, Massachusetts, today in 1969. Mary Jo Kopechne was fatally trapped inside. Kennedy wondered aloud if some terrible curse hung over his family, due to a string of tragic incidents including the deaths of his brothers, president John F. Kennedy and senator Robert Kennedy.

Summation of Spread

The Two of Swords takes a meditative stance, often used when journeying inside oneself to discover the root of all feelings. Silence and seclusion make deep, eloquent answers reachable. They can be used to transform and reveal everything in life.

Is there an issue that needs to be eliminated? While it is tempting to blame horrific circumstances on external influences such as curses or evil eyes, more often than not, a close examination of a situation will reveal the root of the problem. This spread aims to reveal the root of the problem so it may be removed.

Cast Your Cards

Cast these cards with delicacy. A careful eye will reveal the truth of the situation and propose a singular course of action:

1. Why is this happening?

2. What control do I have over the situation?

3. What is the root of the problem?

4. What should I stop doing?

5. What should I start doing?
