Practicks I Three Conjurations

Three Conjurations More

As the Chaos Monasticism exercise of the Wand1 proved so successful and popular, and no book on magick seems complete without offering something practical to challenge the aspiring magickian, we present operations of the other three classical elemental weapons.

We do not approve of the ’Crisis Magician’ approach to The Great Work, few seem to get far by waiting for something to go wrong in their reality and then trying to patch it with magic.

Rather, as Mathers and Crowley recognized, magicians need to practice steadily like athletes and to make continual additions to their repertoire of techniques like scientists.

Thus oaths and resolutions to complete programs of magical activity have great value, as does keeping proper records.

Warning. A lot of the belief structure we inherit from our culture conspires against the quest for magic. You will have to struggle hard to complete such programs.

Persist!

Commentary 48

As a spur to general proficiency and accomplishment, the current SAJALOM Image of the Pact hath agreed that Pact members who achieve a high standard of work with the operations of the four classical elemental weapons may present themselfs, their records, and their instruments, to a Magus of the Pact for possible accreditation as ’Master of Arms’.
