The flavor of her leaves and blossoms can be anything from lettuce-like to quite bitter, and are delicious in salads.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES

The leaves and roots of the primrose can relieve pain, as well as stop muscle spasms and act as an expectorant. She can treat rheumatism and gout, and a tincture made from her leaves and roots will calm anxiety and insomnia.

Primrose is also known as fairy flower, so if you work with fairies you should absolutely grow primrose in your garden!
