River Light
Dream-Connecting: Creating New Stories in Vibrational Reality
Dream-Connecting Practices
In my journey, I walk up a hill and cross a threshold overlooking the ocean. Above me are stairs leading to the “higher worlds.” Standing on a hill, I feel a breeze as I look over the breathing waves and feel the pattern of the water currents, the blood of the Earth, moving across the globe, lifting into the atmosphere to fall again into rivers and streams and back to the pulsing Mother Ocean, tugged and released by the pull of the moon. Ocean reaches out to me and I feel her veins stretch into the mountains, fingers reaching across time to the sky to pull the waters into her belly, always reaching and receiving. Always breathing. This is a place that I often visit to meet my spirit sister; a caring friend and helper and a sister from a past or future life. Now, she looks down on me from her gazebo of light floating above the white beach.
I remember a long-forgotten waking dream of feeling my body as an ancient woman, running through the trees. Fast, strong, leather wrapped around the sinew of my arms; I know that I was this woman, very long ago. I know that my role in my village was to live with and relate to the river, hearing and feeling her strength and story interwoven with the dreams of my people.
As I stand above the ocean in my journey, one half of my body becomes this woman, dark hair, brown skin deeply weathered, while the other reaches into a past and future self that channels the dancing light on the water and knows that within the moving waters is my access to the consciousness of the Earth and cosmos. River is my spirit sister, and my spirit self is able to wield the light from all rivers. I feel the two faces from a dream come together. I am River Light; this is my power, my mission, my work for the world in this lifetime.
