In our culture slowing down enough to prepare our mental, physical and emotional containers for spiritual development is particularly challenging and, for this reason, all the more essential. The Earth Spirit Dreaming method prepares us to enter sometimes intense realms of experience with care and conscious awareness, and most importantly with helping spirits to guide us. Great care is required to not re-create from the consciousness that got us into this mess, but to forge a new path of visioning. In this way, Earth Spirit Dreaming acts as one protocol of clarity, protection and navigation as we become fully engaged participants in ushering forth a new dream for the Earth.

I cannot emphasize enough that to create real change in the world through spiritual work we must prepare, prepare, prepare. If you undertake, for example, a shamanic journey, careful preparation in the time that you have is more important than the time spent on the visioning process. As your practice grows, you will develop methods, locations and practices that can more quickly get you to the correct orientation for healing work. At the beginning, preparation is most important. The helping spirits can communicate outside of time and space, and can download information very quickly. However, it may take days, months and years to create the circumstances to allow this communication to come through, and to unpack it, as has been the case for me.
