The Refinement Process: The Complex of the Flower
The Druidic Workshop

The Oxford English Dictionary defines the verb to sublimate as “to divert the energy of primitive impulses into culturally higher activity. To refine, to purify, to make sublime.” Sublime is defined as “of the highest or most exalted sort.” We will now continue the refinement of our cardinal essences, both liquid and solid, into the highest and most exalted sort of essences possible, the creation of the sublime complex, the sublimation.

The two solid cardinals next undergo a fermentation to extract their remaining attributes. The resulting fermented liquids will be added to the leached cardinal essences produced earlier. The remaining solid plant material will be dried once again to form the plant’s incense. This is the sublimation of the solid cardinals and we shall look at this process next.
