A Circle of Stones: Journeys and Meditations for Modern Celts - Erynn Rowan Laurie 1995
The South Wind
The south wind is the soft, warm wind of summer. It brings warmth and growth, softening the land and giving ease to the heart. On the south wind is the scent of blooming flowers and the ripening odor of fruit on the trees.
Gaoth an iar iasg is aran;

Wind from the west, fish and bread;
Wind from the north, cold and flaying;
Wind from the east, snow on the hills;
Wind from the south, fruit on trees.
