Defensiveness Spread

Defensiveness Spread

On This Day

Modern-day UFO experts have suggested the government fired at extraterrestrial spacecraft, but we may never know the truth.

The Battle of Los Angeles occurred on this date in 1942. Three months after the United States entered World War II, tensions were high after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Objects were spotted in the sky and, thinking the city was under enemy fire, a blackout was ordered and air raid sirens rang. Over 1,400 shells were fired into the sky, killing seven people and damaging buildings. Eventually deemed a false alarm, the press and media sensed a cover-up.

Summation of Spread

The Two of Swords sometimes represents a person so deeply ingrained inside their own psyche, trapped in their mind, that they act cold and defensive to others. An abundance of twos in a spread reflect myriad choices to be made.

While we may never know what flew over Los Angeles that night, it is true that in normal life defensiveness becomes problematic, blocks growth, and shuts out new possibility. This spread examines the degree to which you may or may not be defensive.
