Phantom Felines

Ghost sightings at hospitals and other medical facilities are not unusual occurrences because these are places where many people have suffered in pain and have met with death. However, the sightings of ghostly animals at such places (other than veterinary hospitals) are not all that common.

At the Tucson Medical Center in Arizona, some folks have seen a ghostly black cat roaming the halls at various hours of the day and night. When attempts are made to corner and catch it, the phantom feline does a vanishing act by running through walls.

Some staff members and patients alike have also reported seeing the apparitions of a woman in black and a child who disappears through walls and closed doors. Many believe that these are the ghosts of former patients who died there.

It is not known whether there exists any connection between the black cat and the child and the woman in black. And to this day it remains a mystery why the animal haunts the hospital. Perhaps it was once the loving pet of a now-deceased patient or staff member and, having passed on itself, is simply searching for its long lost human companion to reunite with.
