SANDRA INGERMAN

Sandra Ingerman, M.A., is the author of ten books and seven audio programs. She has been teaching workshops internationally for more than thirty years on shamanic journeying, healing, and reversing environmental pollution using spiritual methods.

Sandra is devoted to teaching people how we can work together as a global community to bring about positive change for the planet. To that end she founded an international alliance of shamanic teachers and practitioners (see “Finding a Shamanic Practitioner”). She is passionate about helping people to reconnect with nature and is recognized for bridging ancient cross-cultural healing methods into our modern culture to address the needs of our times.

Through her monthly column Sandra inspires the spiritual global community to keep working with spiritual practices even if we do not see immediate results from the work we are doing. She has been writing her “Transmutation News” column since 1998, and it is translated by volunteers into thirteen languages and available on her website www.sandraingerman.com. Column readers are invited to engage in a variety of spiritual practices and ceremonies such as a full moon ceremony, “Creating a Human Web of Light.”

A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Mental Health Counselor, Sandra is also a board-certified expert on traumatic stress and certified in acute traumatic stress management. She was awarded the 2007 Peace Award from the Global Foundation for Integrative Medicine and chosen as one of the Top Ten Spiritual Leaders of 2013 in the November/December issue of Spirituality and Health.

Llyn lived for two years at the edge of the wilderness in the Hoh Rain Forest, Pacific Northwest, while writing her portion of Speaking with Nature. In conjunction with OMEC she facilitated the relationship between National Geographic and Mick Dodge for the prime-time television series The Legend of Mick Dodge.

A modern-day mystic and spiritual ecologist, Llyn inspires through her work a deep sense of belonging with the natural world.
