Energy Maintenance in Your Home
Using Hearthcraft to Protect Your Home
The term order suggests a specific arrangement, not just tidiness, and this is an essential part of keeping your home a harmonious place. The kind of energy created by the interaction of your furniture and possessions can be changed or otherwise affected by rearranging it or altering the contents of a room. Things possess energies of their own to different degrees, and together they create a larger collective energy. Adding things to the collective energy, or taking them away, can influence the feel of a room.
The flow of energy within a room is important. Often a room is unwelcoming because the energy within it doesn’t flow; instead, it is stagnant. If you don’t sense how this happens (either by deliberate energy sensing or a vague feeling concerning the room), try standing in the doorway to the room and looking in. Where are your eyes drawn right away? What path do they trace if you don’t deliberately turn them in one direction or another? Chances are good that’s the path the energy of the room takes too. If your eyes don’t naturally move around the room, the energy probably doesn’t either. If there’s an area that is unused, despite having chairs or other furniture and equipment provided, the flow of energy through the room may not reach there, or it may be blocked by something.
To attract or encourage certain kinds of energy, place objects or symbols associated with that energy in key areas. This can be a major rearrangement or something unobtrusive. You can place small images that carry or represent desired energy in corners or nooks and crannies: a small image of a bee in a “dead” corner, for example, can help keep it vibrant, for the bee is a symbol of activity, community, and industry.
