Summing Up

Shaman Pathways - The Celtic Chakras - Elen Sentier 2011

Summing Up

The chakras are the places where the threads of energy which make up your etheric body meet — a set of Grand Central Stations up your spine.

The chakras are …

✵ the towers, caers and castles that hold and guard these Grand Central Stations crossroads or intersections

✵ the ways between them are Elen’s pathways

✵ they are the cauldrons where the pairs of opposite brew together to create oneness

✵ they are the seven caers where Arthur learned his way when he journeyed through the In-World

✵ they are the three faces of Brighid, warmed by the breath of the nine maidens — three times three — that carry the energies of the chakras and bring them all to focus.

The beginning of TS Eliot’s poem Burnt Norton says so much for me …

At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;

Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,

But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,

Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,

Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,

There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.

The Celtic chakra tradition shows us this dance through story, riddle, song, dance; we learn the dances and draw them all together to the centre point, the still point within each of us … where the dance is.
