This two-story house is a bold sculptural form that replaced a derelict 1940s single-story cottage. Sitting at the foot of a steep escarpment, it is accessed via a long processional path. The hallway in the main entry level of the house was conceived of as an “internal street.” Its dimensions widen at the more public realms of the plan, and diminish in the private areas.

Red columns below the cantilevered volume mark a pedestrian path wedged between the house and the base of the escarpment. The path leads to the rear garden and living room deck.
