Two major concerns conditioned the design of this house: noise and climate. Since the site is located along a high-traffic road, it was insulated to provide a peaceful environment. The simple, boxy shape and the pitched roof protect it from the effects of frequent snowfalls.
The yard of this single-story house is screened-off from the street to mitigate car noise. Above the yard, a hanging wall extends views from the interior into the yard while providing privacy from passerby.
