This project is a remodel of an apartment valuable for its location, configuration, views, and size. The transformation resulted in seamlessly flowing spaces offering a variety of interesting perspectives and a powerful fusion between architecture and interior design. Special care was taken when choosing the materials, to create color and texture contrasts.
Translucent vertical surfaces are reminiscent of Japanese shoji screens. They reveal different spaces, layer by layer, creating an illusion of depth.
This apartment has balconies on two sides. They constitute an external ring of a radial organization of spaces, the center of which is the rooms that need the most privacy.
Sliding screens as we know them are descendants of Japanese rice paper dividers. They allow connections throughout a house and bring a minimalist appeal to rooms.
A sink is an important feature of a bathroom. It may have a striking shape, but it should be in harmony with the rest of the room’s fixtures.
