By luck, Spanish designer Nacho Polo stumbled onto his new house. Built in 1925, it was in serious disrepair due to several hurricanes and years without maintenance. But the house and the gardens that surround it had enough charm left to convince the designer that this was the house he was looking for. Nacho was inspired by the vernacular tropical houses of Key West, Florida, to transform this gloomy old structure into a new light-filled home.
