Multiple rooms, both interior and exterior, were added to what was originally a nondescript one-story home, and take advantage of Miami’s tropical weather. The design was based on an abstract interpretation of historical elements common in neighboring homes, where exterior spaces are just as important as interior ones.

The entry to this house is through a 20 x 30 x 30-feet volume where a reflective pool, echoed by an opening in the roof, highlights the space with a scattered, reflected light.
